Johan Hofkens is full professor at the Department of Chemistry KU Leuven, Belgium. His research focuses on the development of cutting-edge tools/techniques for observing at the nanoscale such as single molecule spectroscopies. Prof. Hofkens has gone way beyond building unique equipment by applying the instrumentation on a wide variety of timely and societal relevant topics.
