Esade Alumni renews its board and welcomes two alumni from the digital sector

Esade Alumni, the network of Esade alumni committed to the advancement of society and development of sustainable business, has more than 65,000 alumni in over 100 countries

Wednesday, 23 December 2020Esade Alumni renews its board and welcomes two Esade alumni from the digital sector to continue bolstering the Esade Alumni community chaired by Maite Barrera (Lic&MBA 98).

The candidates in question are David Cerqueda, Chief Digital Officer and MD Diversification at Grupo Godó de Comunicación, and Josep Salvatella, founder and CEO at RocaSalvatella, serving once again as a board member. The experience of these two executives will enrich the board of directors and contribute to the Esade Alumni Strategic Plan and its four main areas: Get InvolvedBe GlobalConnected to Society and Esade Engagement & Contribution.

The Esade Alumni community consists of more than 65,000 alumni from over 100 different countries. This network is committed to contributing to the advancement of society and the development of sustainable business. This year, Esade Alumni Social has enabled more than 290 volunteers to take part in giving-back projects in 27 third-sector entities with more than 2,000 participants. In addition, Esade BAN, the ESADE Alumni business angel network, has invested more than €3m, funded 22 start-ups and handled 450 projects.

Josep Salvatella (EMBA 04) is the founder and CEO of RocaSalvatella. As an entrepreneur, he participates proactively in creating new business projects. He completed the Esade Executive MBA, and is now an academic assistant in the Esade General Management and Strategy department, and a tutor of new business projects. More than 25 years’ management experience in retail, higher education, contents companies and start-ups.

David Cerqueda (ADE&Lic&MBA 98) was appointed Chief Digital Officer and MD Diversification at Grupo Godó de Comunicación in 2011. He holds a degree in business administration and an MBA (Esade), a CEMS master in economics, finance and marketing strategy (HEC, Paris) and other qualifications. Prior to joining the Godó Group he worked at Goldman Sachs UK as an executive director. Previously he worked in the capitals department of BNP Paribas, at the head office in Paris.  As of January, he will be the director general of the financial authorities of Andorra.
