The logics of design and architectural construction are in continuous adaptation to the context in which they operate. Their systems of methods and principles are expanding to face challenges such as climate change, technological disruptions, economic collapses, geopolitical strategies and demographic movements, among other imminent global challenges.

In this session we will review the most significant phenomena affecting our society (such as climate change, social inequalities, technological disruptions, efficiency of material resources, and the need for other worldviews - and for the consequences that the Covid-19 pandemic may bring to all these phenomena), to rethink them from evolved architectural logics, such as environmental, social, digital, tectonic and cultural logics that are oriented towards an expanded conception of architecture.

To have an integrated approach to architectural design and research, attending equally to the areas of design, technology and culture is the new task of the architect.
