Information about Coronavirus

11.03.2020

Wednesday, 11 March 2020. The URL is following  the evolution of the Covid-19 outbreak and is attentive to the measures that may be taken according to the recommendations made by both the Department of Health and the Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Welfare. In this regard, the URL wishes to convey that it will act at all times in accordance with the principle of proportionality and will not generate unnecessary alarm.

For this reason, a Monitoring Committee has been created, chaired by the Rector, of which all the institutions of the URL and some members of the governing team are represented. The aim of this Committee is to centralise information on health alerts and to coordinate any actions to be carried out that may affect members of our community, including those who are displaced. In addition, the Committee is responsible for providing the necessary channels of communication to ensure that the correct information is provided both to the university’s community and to the health authorities, and in particular to the Secretary of Universities and Research of the Department of Business and Knowledge of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

In accordance with the federal nature of the University, each institution has established its own protocol for action in response to this health alert situation. These protocols include the various actions that are may be applied to the academic and extracurricular activity and the use of space, as well as any other specific measure that is considered to be lacking. All these protocols follow the recommendations of the corresponding public authorities and are available through the internal communication channels.

As of today, university activity continues as normal and all services at our campuses are being kept open and in operation according to their usual times, except Esade, which has cancelled its face-to-face teaching activity as a preventive measure against a case of Covid-19 that has been confirmed and HTSI which shares a campus with Esade Pedralbes.

There is an email through which all members of the university community can send their questions: infocovid19@url.edu.

The information is kept up to date both through the University's institutional website and through its Twitter channel (@uramonllull).
