Esade-URL professor Elena Bou wins the first Nobel Sustainability Award
Monday, November 13, 2023. Elena Bou, professor in the Operations, Innovation and Data Sciences department at Esade-URL, has won one of the first sustainability awards granted by the Nobel Sustainability Trust. The award recognizes the great contribution that Elena and the EIT InnoEnergy project have made supporting green energy in start-ups.
These awards, promoted by the Nobel Sustainability Trust and the Technical University of Munich (TUM), will be granted annually to individuals or organizations that have made important discoveries for humanity. There are two categories: research and development in sustainable energy, in which Bou has obtained the highest recognition; and economics of climate change, in which the winner was Lord Nicholas Stern, a professor at the London School of Economics.
The awards were presented last Thursday, November 9, at the Nobel Sustainability Trust Summit at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences in Munich.
