Thursday, May 18, 2023Claudia Aragoncillo, student of the degree in Graphic Design at the ESDi School of Designdesigns the scarf for the new LEVEL uniform.

Six years after its creation, the airline has renewed its image with a uniform designed and manufactured in Barcelona. The LEVEL crews designed the uniform in collaboration with Barcelona companies and with the special participation of ESDi. The school’s students have reinterpreted one of the most emblematic parts of an airline uniform: the scarf. Another of Barcelona’s prestigious brands that collaborated in the design of the LEVEL uniform was MUNICH, which made the trainers and the bag.

Last November, LEVEL proposed to ESDi students a competition to design the airline’s new scarf. The student, Claudia Aragoncillo, was chosen by the company’s jury to represent one of the most important pieces of clothing in the updating of the crew’s uniform. In addition to the classic neckerchief, the crew will be able to wear it in their hair, on their wrists or in their pockets.

I’m very grateful to LEVEL for giving me and the other students the opportunity to make the scarf. Working with a brand like LEVEL and seeing my work represented in the uniforms of their crew has been a great experience that has allowed me to develop my creativity“, says Claudia Aragoncillo, designer of the scarf and ESDi student.

The uniform was unveiled at an event held on the terrace of Pier 01 de Tech Barcelona, one of LEVEL’s partners, ahead of its debut on board in June. The event was attended by representatives of the airline and the collaborating companies and organisations that have made this new proposal possible.

The new uniform is characterised by the fact that it has been designed in accordance with the company’s values, projecting the young image that characterises LEVEL. The result is the result of internal work in which the participation of the airline’s crews has been essential. Thanks to their experience, the company has been able to find a balance between what they need and what they like.

The tailoring process has modernised some garments and introduced others that are new to the airline. The polo shirt, the blazer, the technical jacket, the service waistcoat, the scarf, the trainers and the travel bag.

The airline’s ‘Fly Your Way’ value proposition is also present in this uniform. The design is flexible so that everyone can wear it in their own way. From a more classic option to a more casual one, always within the range of items available in the uniform. When embarking and disembarking, the crew can choose to wear a shirt, polo shirt or dress. They may also wear a blazer or coat, depending on their personal preferences. On board, the crew wears the service waistcoat, a functional garment designed with their daily needs in mind. The waistcoat has a special pocket for the digital tablet with which they work.

The result is a perfect balance between comfort, casualness and elegance, offering maximum comfort to those working on board and featuring the company’s green and blue colours more prominently than in the interior design.
