Leganto (course bibliography)
What is Leganto?
In 2022, Ramon Llull University created Leganto, a cloud-based tool for teachers, available to manage course bibliographies and make them available to their students through the Moodle course management system. With this tool, teachers can easily create, manage and share lists of bibliographic resources with their students in a simple and agile way, promoting meaningful learning.
Leganto allows the creation of organized, well-structured, comprehensive and easily accessible lists of resources that can include any type of material: physical and electronic books, online or digitized book chapters, academic articles, journals, magazines, videos, press articles, websites, open access resources and any other type of material.
In addition, faculty can design a list of resources individually or collaboratively with the help of the Library Service.
WHY IS LEGANTO USEFUL?
Leganto is a very easy-to-use tool that allows you to add, delete or reorder a wide variety of bibliographic resources to your teachers' courses in just a few clicks or by simply dragging the information.
The faculty simply browse their library's collection, add content directly from the web and upload their own files.
The faculty share the materials that are of most interest to students, and can involve them through forums or discussions, specific comment threads, or "like" buttons.
The faculty makes all materials available to the students, who can make reservations from the list. The teaching staff has direct communication with the library through the interface.
The tool allows you to know how students use the bibliography, check the links that do not work and import / export the lists in different citation formats.
Leganto allows the library service to help you check that the selected resources comply with intellectual property law.
