ARISTOS CAMPUS MUNDUS (ACM)
The Aristos Campus Mundus (ACM) project is a strategic partnership between three social initiative universities, Universidad de Deusto, Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Ramon Llull University and, from 2023, Loyola University extended through an advanced strategic cooperation agreement to the American universities of Georgetown University, Boston College and Fordham University.
Under the coordination of the URL, with the University of Deusto and the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, ACM project was awarded the qualification of Campus of International Excellence in the European regional category under the Spanish Ministry of Education’s 2011 call for applications. Its quality seal was renewed in 2013 and in 2014. In December 2016 the project was finally awarded the definitive seal with the highest rating (A).
Aristos Campus Mundus focuses the collaborative activity from the three universities involved around five thematic areas of specialisation, particularly in reference to R&Di, where various disciplines cooperate together to solve a particular social challenge: Innovation and social change; Management and social responsibility; Education: innovation, skills and values; Health and bioscience; and Energy and sustainability.
Five spheres of action
The ACM Action Plan is structured around five spheres of action:
- Research and transfer;
- Teaching;
- Internationalisation;
- Campus transformation and sustainability
- Aggregation and governance
The main objective of ACM is to promote academic excellence, teaching and research in a joint commitment to social innovation that is responsible and sustainable on both a local and a global level.
