Welcome

Our university, with more than 30 years of history, has proven to be a mature organization that adapts to the needs of our time. This can be seen, for example, in the 125 official degrees and more than 300 degrees of our own. They are a reflection of the intense activity of our centers. Our federal organization, made up of 8 higher education and research institutions and 1 affiliated center, allows us to be a very agile and innovative university, both in Catalonia and around the world.

URL is a tremendously internationalized institution. We are a diverse and multicultural community. Proof of this is the 26% of students of 121 nationalities that comprise it. 

The transformation of the University's research and transfer culture continues to bear abundant fruit. We have 51 research groups, 33 projects funded by the State R&D&I Plan and 28 active European research projects. We are proud of our researchers for their hard work!

This commitment to research has also led us to forge initiatives with international university networks such as SACRU and ENGAGE.EU. At URL, we maximize our efforts to attract talent and facilitate the possibility of studying at the University. The 15.1 million euros in scholarships, grants and awards is a figure that visualizes the social commitment of our institutions.

I firmly believe that during the university years, not only do students learn in the classroom, but that public commitment, social commitment, sports and cultural activities that facilitate the URL are essential to develop the skills and critical thinking of the young people who pass through our classrooms.

From URL we want to help you to achieve excellence, but not from individual ambition, but from the recognition of others and from trust. Our motto "To Be and To Know" summarizes our goal of promoting this training as individuals and as professionals.
