The Covid-19 crisis has transformed health centers. The Vall d'Hebron University Hospital (HUVH known in Spanish) has become a referral hospital, said the Department of Health. The hospital has set up the Vall d'Hebron Health Pavilion to attend pandemic patients and other initiatives to attend the society. They are participating in several clinical trials to avoid respiratory complications and to find the Covid-19 vaccine. It is a world reference health center where care, research and innovation go hand in hand.

Emphasizing safety, availability, efficiency and the introduction of new technologies to ensure the treatments that patients need and the digital transformation of the Hospital.

Raquel Cánovas, industrial engineer with extensive experience in the Catalan public health sector, promoting technological and innovative transformation in CATSalut projects and referral hospitals of the Catalan Institute of Health.

He leads a fleet of more than 15,000 medical teams, a wide variety of information systems and more than 4,300 computer jobs. Responsible for Technology Management in the areas of information technology (ICT) and medical or electromedicine technology (EMD).
