Webinar «Technologies of the Energy Transition: Waste-to-Fuels»

The fourth webinar of the series “Technologies of the Energy Transition”, organized by the EsadeGeo Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics and the Repsol Foundation, will focus on the transformation of waste into fuels. 

This conversion, which can take place through multiple technological pathways, transforms non-food biomass – such as forestry waste and municipal solid waste – into liquid fuels. It therefore forms one of the avenues towards the decarbonization of the transportation sector, particularly aviation, shipping and heavy road transport.

This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of waste-to-fuels technologies and feedstocks, covering the most recent technological advances and offering an analysis of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The event will also delve into concrete waste-to-fuels projects under development or in operation, including those converting forestry waste, municipal solid waste, and recycled raw materials.
