1st International Workshop on the Chinese Development Model

Conferences and workshops
Start date
Venue

IQS School of Management | Via Augusta, 390. Barcelona

No matter what global issue we discuss, China should be included in the equation. Therefore, we need insightful knowledge about the transformation of the Chinese economy and how it can affect the rest of the world. China is in a state of flux in its economic model, and the resulting challenges will affect the global economy.

In this roundtablerenowned experts on the Chinese economy, among them Barbara Fraumeni (Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing, China), Jack Hou (California State University, Long Beach, USA) and Tony Fang (Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John’s, Canada) will discuss about China’s future human capital demand, its transition from a production- and manufacturing-driven economy towards one driven by consumption and services, and recent labor market reforms, among other issues.
