Three Spanish schools are listed among the twenty best in the world, making Spain among the most attractive countries globally in which to study an MBA

Monday, 26 January 2015. ESADE-URL's MBA is among the twenty best degree programmes in the world, coming in nineteenth worldwide and seventh in Europe, according to the Financial Times' annual ranking of MBAs, published today, which assesses criteria such as career development, international experience of the participants or average pay after graduation.

Three Spanish schools are listed among the twenty best in the world, placing Spain among the most attractive countries to study an MBA. According to the report by ESADE MBA City Monitor, location is the third most valued factor when choosing an MBA. In this connection, Spain is one of the most popular destinations, with three of its business schools at the top.

According to Josep Franch, Dean of ESADE-URL, "this result demonstrates the efforts made by the business school in key factors such as the globalisation and internationalisation of its programmes, aspects that are clearly present in the ESADE-URL MBA and reflected in the diversity of participants in the classes and in their career progression once they have completed the Master's course”. Dr. Franch also highlights the strong commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship, "allowing many participants to successfully start up their own businesses after graduating”.

No 2 in Europe in terms of career advancement

Some of the most highly valued aspects of the MBA at ESADE-URL are the programme's design, the experience, wealth and geographic diversity of its participants, international mobility and the perception of companies regarding the school's capacity to adapt to current market needs.

The Financial Times ranking particularly highlights the possibilities for career advancement that the ESADE-URL's MBA offers its participants and, in this regard, ranks it second in Europe and sixth worldwide. In particular, the FT values the career advancement obtained by MBA alumni during the three years after graduation.

The Financial Times also points to the MBA's international mobility as another of its most important aspects. This variable measures the number of countries in which participants have worked since completing the programme. About 90% of graduates find work within three months of finishing their studies.

Third European school in terms of international experience

The FT ranks ESADE-URL third in Europe and fifth worldwide for the international experience gained by students during the programme, thanks to its global nature and its great adaptation to the needs and professional changes of each participant.

One of the distinguishing aspects of the MBA at ESADE-URL is the diversity of nationalities in the lecture halls. 95% of participants come from 40 different countries, giving them a broad overview, and a great capacity to adapt to different cultures.
