Ramon Llull University ranked first Catalan private University in Spain according to U-Ranking 2016
In its fourth edition, the Ramon Llull University (URL) has improved its results in the general ranking and it occupies the fourth position among 61 Spanish universities
Thursday, 31st of May 2016. LBBVA Foundation and Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE) has published the fourth edition of U-Ranking, which assesses teaching, research and innovation activity of 61 Spanish universities.
In the global ranking of productivity, this year URL is ranked fourth, which means that it has improved one position from 2015. With this result, URL has established itself as the second private university in Spain.
The U-Ranking suggests three specific rankings (teaching, investigation and innovation) and two general ones: volume of results and productivity.
According to the present study, private Spanish universities excel at teaching productivity and lead the average of the university system by 8%. In URL’s case, it keeps the second position and it maintains itself as the first private Catalan university.
According to the investigation ranking, in this edition URL improves one position and it occupies the 8th position. In this ranking, the index obtained is the same as the average of the assessed universities.
URL improves six positions in innovation and it currently occupies the 10th position. In this case, the URL’s index is clearly higher than the average of the assessed universities.
