Esade-URL acclaimed as most innovative university in Ibero-America for second year running by El Economista
Esade-URL acclaimed once again for their educational innovation and digital change, particularly in teaching methods, portfolio of programmes and technological capability
Wednesday, 24 June 2021. Esade-URL acclaimed for second year running as the most innovative university in Ibero-America by El Economista ranking. The economic journal analysed a range of factors including the innovation and digitalisation of teaching methods and the IT capabilities of fifty Spanish-speaking establishments, placing Esade-URL at the top, in addition this year to the ability of higher education establishments to respond to the constraints caused by the pandemic.
“Here at Esade-URL, we’ve been developing our teaching materials, dynamics and IT infrastructures to create omnichannel teaching methods of the finest quality and rigour for years now” explained Marc Correa, director of Esade Executive Education. “Our response to the coronavirus crisis has been optimum, and we’ve also anticipated the needs of the job market”. “The major challenge now facing educational establishments is how to use IT effectively to help executives learn faster and better. We’ve achieved this by combining learning communities, customised student support and a variety of synchronous and asynchronous dynamics with the hallmark of Esade-URL quality”, said Correa.
In/On, the best Spanish-speaking portfolio
In the on-line and hybrid section, El Economista ranked four Esade-URL courses as the best in the Spanish-speaking market: “La Inteligencia Artificial en los Negocios”; “Gestión Sostenible y Agenda 2030”, “Modelos de negocio de plataformas digitales” and “Innovación Estratégica”. These short, highly specialised courses within the framework of the In/On programmes taught by Esade Executive Education, combine the best of the analogical and digital worlds and are designed to respond to a constantly changing landscape that calls for increased flexibility and customization.
In the words of Marc Correa, “the methodology of these programmes has been designed to integrate cutting-edge technology into the sphere of education and optimise skill and knowledge learning by students. In addition, the digital nature of this format enables us to explore and apply new trends, formats, contents and methodologies in real time. This capability has made our portfolio of programmes the largest in the Spanish-speaking world.”
Esade Executive Education In/On programmes are also specifically tailored to enable executives to balance their training with their job and home life within a framework of lifelong learning. “At the present day, there is not a single job or industry that does not require people to constantly update their knowledge and skills, so all executives regardless of their age or expertise should engage in training that spans their entire career”, commented the Esade Executive Education director.
The best programmes for executives and companies too
El Economista also ranks three Esade programmes amongst the top programmes for executives: Executive Master in Business Analytics (EMIBA); Executive Master in Marketing & Sales (EMMV); and Executive Master in Finance (EMF), with particular emphasis on how the methodology and content of these programmes caters for the 4th industrial revolution by, amongst other things, reinforcing the digital competencies covered by each study plan.
In this respect, Marc Correa pointed out that “the digital talent needed in the business world must not only include knowledge of different technologies and their implications and possibilities, but also the associated skills and the ability to think in those terms”. “In order to pinpoint all these factors,” he added, “Executive Education has implemented a Corporate Learning Solutions division to advise businesses about their digital transformation and design ad hoc training solutions for their present and future executives”.
