URL starts its collaboration with the ENGAGE.EU project and will participate in the future enlargement proposal of this European Universities Alliance
A meeting of the consortium will be held in Sofia (Bulgaria) on May 26 and 27 to formalize this agreement with the presence of the European Commissioner Mariya Gabriel
Tuesday, May 25, 2022. The Rector of Ramon Llull University will sign this coming Thursday 26th of May an agreement with the ENGAGE.EU project consortium to formalize the entry of the URL into this European Universities Alliance, which was approved by the European Commission in the 2019 European Universities Initiative call.
With this agreement the URL will actively participate in the definition of the proposal for the enlargement of the alliance that will be submitted to the European Universities Initiative call scheduled for February 2023.
ENGAGE.EU
ENGAGE.EU is an alliance of leading European universities in business, economics, and the social sciences, which aims to provide European citizens with the set of skills and competences needed to tackle major societal challenges. These existing and new challenges, such as digitalisation and artificial intelligence, climate change, ageing societies, and migration, must be tackled successfully to ensure a sustainable and positive future. ENGAGE.EU will inspire active societal engagement in the current and future state of Europe – and beyond.
The following universities are part of the ENGAGE.EU project: Universität Mannheim (Germany), Luiss Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli (Rome, Italy); Norwegian School of Economics, Bergen (Norway); Tilburg University (Netherlands); University of National and World Economy, Sofia (Bulgaria); Université de Toulouse 1 Capitole (France) and WU Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria).
