Grup Heracles and Esade create ‘Pablo Soler’ scholarship to boost young talent

Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Grup Heracles and Esade Alumni, by means of their Andorra Chapter, have signed an agreement to create the Pablo Soler Scholarship by Grup Heracles & Esade Alumni Andorra, in memory of Pablo Soler (1962-2022), corporate director at Grup Heracles and board member of the Esade Alumni Andorra Chapter.

This scholarship for a bachelor’s degree at Esade-URL will be awarded to a student from the Principality of Andorra with an excellent academic record but insufficient financial means. To be precise, this scholarship will cover the full tuition fees of the Bachelor’s degree in Transformational Leadership and Social Impact or the Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence for Business. The scholarship student may also have a traineeship at a company belonging to Grup Heracles.

Xavier Mendoza, Esade-URL director general, explained that “this scholarship is a unique opportunity for these young people because education is undoubtedly the best way to get ahead in society and achieve a fairer level of socio-economic wellbeing. The Esade Scholarship Program benefits opt only these young people but also the entire educational community”. “In this 2022-23 academic year, 45 students from Andorra are living this educational experience: 18 in our bachelor’s degrees and the rest in different post-grad programs. Of these, 2 students from Andorra are taking a bachelor’s degree thanks to this Scholarship Program,” he added.

Grup Heracles aims to pursue the commitment and support given by the former corporate director of the group, Pablo Soler, to young talent and education. “Our aim, along with the Esade Alumni Andorra Chapter, is to offer an extraordinary opportunity to a young person from Andorra. This is possible because previously Pablo Soler decided to make a social impact and help build a better society – aspirations also shared by the company”, said Miquel Àngel Armengol, Grup Heracles CEO.

Taking part in the presentation of the Pablo Soler Scholarship by Grup Heracles & Esade Alumni Andorra were Ester Vilarrubla, minister of Education and Higher Education in the Government of Andorra; Daniel Armengol, Grup Heracles CEO; Miquel Àngel Armengol, managing director of Grup Heracles; Xavier Mendoza, Esade-URL director general; Patricia Valentí, director of Esade Alumni, and Joan Prat, president of the Esade Alumni Andorra Chapter.
