Admissions to University Master’s programmes

The requirements for admission to university Master’s programmes are regulated by Royal Decree 822/2021, of September 28. In order to access university master's degrees, candidates must meet the following requirements to be admitted:

  • To be in possession of an official Spanish university Bachelor’s degree.
  • To be in possession of a university degree from a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that entitles the country of origin to access the master's degree studies.
  • In case of educational systems outside the EHEA, it's necessary to have a degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, without the need for homologation of the degree but with verification by the university of the level of education equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and which entitles the country of origin for access to postgraduate university studies. Access by this route will not imply the homologation of the previous degree of the person concerned nor its recognition for purposes other than that of carrying out the master's degree studies.
  • To be studying an official university degree and have pending to pass the TFG and up to a maximum of 9 ECTS credits to obtain the undergraduate degree. Access by this route is regulated by the Enrollment regulations for official university master's degree programs and academic programs with successive courses at Ramon Llull University, approved by the Governing Board of the URL on November 18, 2021.

In no case shall admissions to a Master’s programme imply any change to the candidates’ academic or professional status corresponding to their previous studies. Similarly, admissions to a Master’s programme shall not constitute formal recognition of students’ prior degrees other than to enable them to take part in said programmes.

Each URL centre has its own admissions process.
