ENGAGE.EU
Ramon Llull University started its participation in the ENGAGE (engageuniversity.eu) partnership on 26 May 2022 by signing an agreement with the project consortium. This agreement was formalized at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) in Sofia (Bulgaria) in the presence of the European Commissioner Mariya Gabriel. During the following months and until the end of 2022, URL actively participated in the definition of the proposal for the extension of the partnership, which was submitted to the European Commission's European Universities Initiatives call for proposals in January 2023. Finally, in July 2023, URL officially joined the Alliance, becoming a full member.
ALLIANCE OF EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES
ENGAGE.EU is an alliance of leading European universities in business, economics, and the social sciences, which aims to provide European citizens with the set of skills and competences needed to tackle major societal challenges. These existing and new challenges, such as digitalisation and artificial intelligence, climate change, ageing societies, and migration, must be tackled successfully to ensure a sustainable and positive future. ENGAGE.EU will inspire active societal engagement in the current and future state of Europe – and beyond.
