URL hosts the first ENGAGE.EU Study Tour
43 students from Alliance universities have been able to visit URL
Monday, November 11, 2024. From November 6 to 8, Ramon Llull University hosted the first ENGAGE.EU Study Tour, in which participated 43 students from eight of the nine universities that are part of the ENGAGE.EU alliance.
The ENGAGE.EU Study Tour, a 3 to 5 day study tour for students on the campus of another Alliance partner university, is designed to make international mobility more accessible to students. These activities revolve around a specific theme. This time it was “Promoting ENGAGE.EU through SDGs”.
During these three days, students were able to attend the following academic sessions:
- "Moving towards gender equality for a more just and sustainable world"
Anna Berga, Vice-Dean of Research of the Pere Tarrés Faculty of Social Education and Social Work-URL - "The geopolitical impact of US Presidential election"
Manuel Manonelles, professor of Blanquerna School of Communication and International Relations-URL - "Uses and challenges of Artificial Intelligence in organizations"
Xavier Vilasís, dean and principal investigator of the Smart Society Research group at La Salle-URL
The students also had the opportunity to visit the Sant Cugat campus of Esade-URL and La Salle-URL, as well as to learn about their programs. In addition, they attended a guided visit to the Parliament of Catalonia.
The Rector of the URL, Josep A. Rom, and the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Students, Carlo M. Gallucci, were in charge of closing the Study Tour with the delivery of the certificates of attendance to all participants.
