Two ESDi-URL projects selected for the ADG LAUS 2023 Awards
Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Alba Paniello and Marta Borrell, graduates and students of the Graphic Design course at the ESDi Higher School of Design-URL (affiliated center), have been selected for the ADG Laus 2023 awards, whose aim is to promote design as a cultural discipline of social relevance and to encourage and support professionals in the sector.
The jury of the ADG Laus Awards has selected the projects “¿Por qué te rayas por esto?” by Alba Paniello and “(A)WAKE” by Marta Borrell for their creativity and innovative approach to graphic design.
The awards will be presented during the ADG Laus Night on 8 June in Palo Alto (Barcelona).
“¿Por qué te rayas por esto?”
Alba Paniello participated in ESDi-URL with her final year project, selected in the Laus Aporta category. This project focuses on raising awareness of anxiety disorders in young people, a pathology that is underestimated and surrounded by taboos in society. Through an editorial design work consisting of a book, four posters, four letters and packaging, it offers a tool to help young people overcome the taboos associated with this disease and raise awareness of its importance to the rest of society.
“(A)WAKE”
On the other hand, Marta Borrell presented the project “(A)WAKE” in the Free Work category. Her proposal focuses on the graphic identity and art direction of a coffee shop called Awake. The logo developed captures the essence of the moment before waking up, evoking a pause that represents coffee as a central element. With a creative and artisanal approach, it manages to convey the values of quality and experience offered by the speciality coffee at the Awake Coffee Shop.
